Membrane and Filtration Technologies for Sustainable Development
AMSIC-3 congress is the premier international venue on the African continent that will simultaneously address key advances in membrane, filtration and sustainable energy technologies. It will be held in Dakar, capital city of Senegal, from November 3rd to 6th, 2020.
The 7th Regional IWA-Membrane Technology Conference will be hosted by AMSIC and jointly organized by the International Water Association and the African Membrane Society, as a one-day Symposium.
The congress will also host AMSIC general technical conference, a commercial exposition, round tables, tutorials, training sessions (curricula for technicians) and programs focused on continuing education.
AMSIC-3 seeks to foster scientific and technological innovation to facilitate access to clean water, improved sanitation, better air quality and improved human health in Africa and other regions of the world. The fast-growing demographics and change of ecological landscape currently experienced by the African region are bringing issues of youth employment and urban center development to the forefront.
Contributors will have an opportunity to share their knowledge and comment on implementing membrane, filtration and sustainable energy technologies in the following areas:
FIELDS OF INTEREST:

1- IWA MRTC (7th) – Membrane technology for more sustainable water production, wastewater treatment & reuse:
small scale units, power reduction and the use of alternative energy

2- Applications (liquids) of membrane and filtration technologies:
Desalination – Municipal or Industrial water – Wastewater recycling & reuse – Biopharmaceutical and Biomedical ;
- 3- Filtration/ Quality of indoor air and ambient air;
- 4- Synergistic use of filtration & renewable energy technologies;
- 5- Decentralized filtration systems;
- 6- Sludge treatment;
- 7- Innovative materials, New testing methods, Modeling/Predictive tools in filtration;
- 8- Modeling and theoretical concepts for monitoring environmental changes;
- 9- Alternative/disruptive technologies relative to filtration.

CONFERENCE JOURNALS
Depending on their importance, originality, quality, relevance and other editorial considerations, eligible research papers will be published in ISI, DOHET accredited journals. Details are coming soon.
